This smaller relative to the Land Mullet, exists from Far north-eastern NSW to the tip of Cape York in QLD. They thrive off small invertebrates and natural fruits and berries which can be found along the forest floor. This species is also live bearing, with pregnant females giving birth to fully developed young.
